Farm Bureau Insurance – Hayes/Otto agency is excited to begin their next chapter in boat racing by taking the role of primary sponsor for the Mendana Racing #21 Formula Light driven by Jose Mendana, Jr at the upcoming Bay City Rockin the River.
After a two-year hiatus, the Formula Lights class will be making it’s return to the Saginaw River, and Michael Hayes can’t be happier. “We really missed the event coming to Bay City last year and the lack of Formula Lights at the abbreviated event in 2017.” Hayes commented. “For my kids, this is one of their many highlights of summer, so that makes it an obvious highlight of mine. The fact that we can again be involved with what I’m sure will be a front running boat with Jose and an all-around great group of people at Mendana Racing makes it even more exciting!”
Jose Mendana, Jr echoes Michael’s remarks, “It’s always great to come back to a familiar face, and in this case, a familiar family. We’ve watched Michael’s kids grow up over the years and it’s great to see a family so involved not only in boat racing, but the community as well.” “We’re glad they will be coming on board again and hope to improve on our finish of 2nd the last time they ran with us in Bay City.”
